Both parties expect innovative solutions for the production of first-generation biofuels as well as opportunities for the production and application of second-generation biofuels in terms of the V4 region. Research should also apply to the field of alternative sources of energy and raw materials for the production of biofuels and alternative uses of by-products arising from the production of biofuels.
The advantage of SUA, as the only university focusing on research and education of specialists for the agricultural sector is the ability to comprehensively address the issue of biofuels and the selection of appropriate crops, their cultivation, harvesting, storage and conversion to energy carriers with greater energy and wider application possibilities . The Agrobiotech research centre currently built at SUA will be a basic platform for such broad cooperation with biofuel producers.
