SUA in Nitra to Present at the 50th Agrokomplex Exhibition
03.09.2025
The Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra (SUA in Nitra) will showcase its activities at the jubilee 50th edition of the international agricultural and food exhibition Agrokomplex 2025, held in Nitra from September 3 to 7. The university will also present innovative food products from its Food Incubator.
In SUA’s exhibition stand in Pavilion M2, visitors will find up-to-date information on study opportunities, research and science at the university, as well as services offered to practice and the public. This year’s novelty will be the presentation and sale of innovative food products from the SUA Food Incubator. Visitors will be able to taste vegetable chips, teas, and snacks. The SUA Creative Centre will showcase a top-class drone and virtual reality glasses. The Faculty of Engineering will present its activities in the outdoor area P. There will also be tractor driving skill demonstrations under the supervision of instructors from the Academy Driving School, as well as a rollover simulator demonstrating traffic accident scenarios. SUA Publishing House will present its latest book releases.
“Since we are currently implementing the joint AgroForestry project with the Technical University in Zvolen (TUZVO), we will also provide information about this project. TUZVO will have its stand right next to ours, and we warmly invite visitors to both exhibitions,” said SUA Rector Klaudia Halászová.
One of the accompanying events of Agrokomplex 2025 will be the Open Day in the SUA Demonstration Garden. From September 3 to 5, visitors will be able to join guided tours of demonstration and research plots – including an orchard, vineyard, vegetable plantings, and samples of lesser-known horticultural crops. Expert lectures and discussions with SUA specialists will also take place. The Demonstration Garden will be open from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with entry every full hour.
The jubilee Agrokomplex will feature the most extensive exhibition of agricultural machinery to date, spread not only over the outdoor area E but also along the road leading to the livestock production area. The program will also include the National Exhibition of Farm Animals, the Hunting, Forestry and Fisheries exhibition, and the National Exhibition of Young Rabbits, Poultry, and Pigeons. The AGRION Association will organize the AgroSkills 2025 competition of vocational skills for secondary school students. Its aim is to support vocational education in agromechatronics and agriculture, to present students’ practical skills to professionals and employers, and to strengthen the link between schools and practice.
On September 5 at 3:30 p.m., the launch of the textbook Agromechatronics will take place on the main stage. The book for secondary schools was authored by SUA Vice-Rector Pavol Findura and his team. The launch will be held together with Rector Klaudia Halászová and AGRION President and Chairman of the SUA Board of Trustees Peter Matejovič. “Within the AgroForestry project, SUA is currently preparing a new professional study program in Mechatronics, which will build on the secondary school program in this field. The accreditation process is currently underway,” added Rector Halászová.
