At the beginning of the meeting the guests in short presentation introduced their university which orientation and structure corresponds with SUA. It has 7 faculties and more than 14 thousand students. The University offers specialized courses in three languages – Hungarian, English and German. As the Rector prof. János Tőzsér stated, the pioneer of collaboration between Szent István University and SUA in the field of education is the Faculty of Economics and Management of SUA. However, in the recent years a mutual cooperation in the field of animal production has been successfully launched. “Animal production, mainly related to production of Holstein cattle, is very interesting for us. We could expand this cooperation and extend it by the University in Wroclaw in Poland and Mendel University in Brno,” proposed the Rector. Perspective possibilities for mutual cooperation with SUA he sees also in the fields like engineering, rural development, crop production, veterinary medicine, economic sciences. He prefers the idea of an active implementation of educational and student mobility of Erasmus+, a common leadership in PhD theses while he offers to the students of SUA the opportunity to complete PhD study at Szent István University.
In another program, the guests became familiar with the implementation of education, science, research and internationalization at SUA through the presentation.
The management of SUA highly appreciated the proposed possibilities for the other collaboration. Finally both cooperation agreements were signed. Rector J. Tőzsér offered platform for the cooperation for all faculties of SUA.
