SUA has established a cooperation with more Russian agricultural universities
02.03.2015On February 9, 2015, Faculty of Economics and Management of SUA opened another year of EURUS AGRI – Master's study program offering the possibility to spend one semester in Moscow. At the same time there was a meeting of representatives of the partner universities of the TEMPUS PACAGRO project – Public accreditation of agricultural study programs in Russia which coordinates the SUA in Nitra.
On February 9, 2015, Faculty of Economics and Management of SUA opened another year of EURUS AGRI – Master's study program offering the possibility to spend one semester in Moscow. At the same time there was a meeting of representatives of the partner universities of the TEMPUS PACAGRO project – Public accreditation of agricultural study programs in Russia (543902-TEMPUS-1-2013- SK-TEMPUS-SMGR) which coordinates the SUA in Nitra. After the official part of the program at FEM – the evaluation of the implementation of the above mentioned project, the rectors and vice-rectors of Russian agricultural universities: prof. Fajzrachmanov Dzaudat Ibrahimovic - the Rector of the State University of Agriculture in Kazan, Prof. Mikhail Svecov – the Rector of the Mari State University, Prof. Aslan Apazev – the Rector of Kabardino-Balkaria State Agricultural University, Prof. Sergei Garnik - Vice-Rector of the Russian State Agricultural University in Moscow, Prof. Viktor Smelik - Vice-Rectorr of the State University of Agriculture in St. Petersburg and Prof. Jonas Caplikasa - Vice-Rector of the State University of Agriculture in Kaunas were accepted by the Rector of SUA Dr.h.c. prof. Ing. Peter Bielik, PhD. Cooperation agreements were signed with two new partners. The meeting was also attended by the Dean of the FEM - Prof. Dr. Ing. Elena Horská and Ass.prof. Ing. Natália Turčeková, PhD. - Vice-dean of the FEM for International and Public Relations.
“I highly appreciate the main idea of the project – the sharing of experiences from national and European accreditation processes, quality management and enhancing the attractiveness of agricultural programs. I believe also that the experts from our university will contribute by their knowledge and experiences to the successful results of the project since we successfully passed difficult accreditation process last year“, said the Rector of SUA at the beginning of the meeting. He added that the SUA can offer to the partners of Russian universities new opportunities for a cooperation in the context of university academic and scientific research collaboration, cooperation within the newly constructed research and transfer center AgroBioTech and Visegrad University Association.
The representatives of the universities by means of presentation became familiar with the SUA, its educational and research activities, as well as international cooperation. In more details they were informed about the project Building of Research Center „AgroBioTech“ and activities of VUA.
Cooperation agreement with the new partners – with Kabardino-Balkaria State Agricultural University and the Mari State University was signed at the end of the meeting. The cooperation with the new partners will be implemented by the activities such as joint research activities and publishing in scientific journals of both universities, exchange of students, teachers and staff, participation in seminars, conferences and scientific meetings, short-term academic programs, development of virtual learning modules, exchange of methodologies, educational materials and documents or preparation of joint study programs.
