They are self-confident and they are not scared of new challenges. The group of 13 students of the SUA in Nitra will attend the intensive short-term study programme at Louisiana State University in the USA from 5th till 18th of February, 2015. This programme is feasible due to a bilateral agreement between both institutions. Some of the participants have shared their expectations with us.

Viktor Varga, HLEF: I think that the opportunity to visit an American university is for the Slovak students very useful and inspiring. I have always wanted to visit the educational institution that regularly rates in the top 300 universities in the world. I would like to experience their methods of teaching and their material and technical support, as well as the student life in the USA. I believe that the programme will be full of new information, knowledge and experiences.
Lucia Richterová, FEM: I would consider a visit to a U.S. University a great opportunity to be inspired by a student culture which is known world wide and loved by its students. I believe during the visit that I can absorb many ideas that I can later apply to my own university.
Eva Schultzová, FESRD: I immediately liked the possibility of studying at LSU and did not hesitate to apply for this study course. I think it would be a great benefit for me to become familiar with the American education system and experience the life of a local student. This study programme would be my first journey to America, and I would love to experience the country and culture.
Kamila Moravčíková, FEM: My main motivation for filing the application was the fact that Louisiana State University has one of the best and largest libraries in the United States. The main aim of my studies is the elaboration of PhD thesis and these libraries would provide me an access to the publications that I do not find here. I consider it as the biggest advantage of my visit. Of course, I am also curious about the American education system, culture, new people and environment. I hope that it will be two weeks full of new experiences.
