The special guest and his colleagues prof. Olena Prutska, Head of the Department of Finance and the Academician Nikolai Roiyk from the Institute of Bioenergy Crops and Sugar beets were welcomed by the Rector Dr.hc prof. Ing. Peter Bielik, PhD.
A delegation from Vinnytsia National Agrarian University led by the Rector prof. G.M. Kaletnik visited the Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra on December 6. The special guest and his colleagues prof. Olena Prutska, Head of the Department of Finance and the Academician Nikolai Roiyk from the Institute of Bioenergy Crops and Sugar beets were welcomed by the Rector Dr.hc prof. Ing. Peter Bielik, PhD.
In the beginning of the meeting the SUA Rector prof. Peter Bielik and the Vice-Rector for International and Public Relations prof. Elena Horská, informed the guests about the role and structure of our university, its strategic objectives, familiarized them with research activities and the successful project Building Research Centre AgroBioTech, were also Ukrainian experts can participate.
Then the Rector prof. Grigory Kaletnik presented his university and expressed interest in cooperating with SUA. At the same time they filed the application of Vinnytsia National Agrarian University to the Visegrad University Association were they can cooperate in order to create good conditions for education and research.
The meeting also discussed areas of possible cooperation in the field of education, creation of joint programmes, organization of scientific meetings, mobility of students and teachers. Ukrainian officials have expressed their interest in cooperation in a number of research areas, among them for example biotechnology and bioenergy. During the visit a Memorandum of Cooperation between the SUA and the Vinnytsia National Agrarian University was signed.
