The first financial support from the agrarian research promoting OECD programme for organising a conference in the Slovakia

On 1 December 2014, the co-financing of the scientific conference at the Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra was approved by the Governing Body of the OECD Co-operative Research Programme for Biological Resource Management for Sustainable Agricultural Systems (CRP). It’s the first financial support from the agrarian research promoting OECD programme for organising a scientific conference in the Slovak Republic.

It’s the first financial support from the agrarian research promoting OECD programme for organising a scientific conference in the Slovak Republic.
Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra (Faculty of European Studies and Regional Development) applied for co-financing of the conference within the “Sustainability in Practice” scientific topic. The conference “Sustainability of rural areas in practice” is scheduled for the beginning of December 2015 in Nitra. Its aim will be to discuss new innovative strategies and approaches dealing with key issues of insufficient development and low economic efficiency of rural areas.
The CRP programme is a unique and the only tool of the OECD providing programme member countries with co-financing their agrarian research and science projects in the form of financial support for scientific scholarships of established top scientists or sponsoring scientific conferences. Once a year the OECD publishes the call, the call for 2016 will be published in spring 2015. Slovakia is a member of the programme.
