An important step towards deepening of the Slovak-Chinese cooperation

The distinguished guests were welcomed at SUA by the Rector, Dr.h.c. prof. Ing. Peter Bielik, PhD.
On Thursday of November 4, 2014 SUA in Nitra was visited by the delegation consisting of the representatives of Slovak – Chinese Chamber of Commerce (SSCC) and the representatives of Chinese province Jiangsu. The distinguished guests were welcomed at SUA by the Rector, Dr.h.c. prof. Ing. Peter Bielik, PhD.
After a short presentation of SUA, the delegation became familiar with the work and activities of the Agrokomplex Nitra company which was presented by the director Ing. Eduard Krcho. Interesting was also the presentation of Chinese Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT). Since 1963 it has provided the support and services in the sphere of international relations, economic and business consultancy, exchange of information as well as organization international exhibitions with the aim to establish Chinese firms on the world market. The CCPIT company was presented to the participants at the meeting by the vice-chairman of branch office in Jiangsu, Mr. Huang Zheng.
The aim of the meeting was a definition of further possibilities of cooperation with Chinese educational and scientific-research institutions and the Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra. Geographical and cultural distance between the countries is successfully converged by the activities of Slovak – Sino Chamber of Commerce which was led by its president Ing. Peter Paulen at the meeting. The main goal of the SSCC is the support and the development of economic relations in the field of commerce, industry and tourism between the Slovak Republic and the People´s Republic of China based on a principle of reciprocity. In order to fulfil its mission, the Chamber follows, maintains and continuously develops the cooperation with the Slovak and Chinese commercial entities as well as with the competent authorities, economic associations and other institutions of both countries.
At the end of the meeting the Cooperation Agreement between SSCC and SUA was signed being the first step towards deepening of mutual cooperation.
